2022 Honda Insight Oil Filter in Saint Augustine, FL

The manufacturer-published schedule for this model year calls for oil-filter replacement every 20,000 miles. Replacing the filter with the oil prevents a loaded filter from being carried into another service cycle. The vehicle's service history and the manufacturer's schedule determine when the next service is due.

• Filter replacement follows the published maintenance schedule.
• A loaded filter can open its bypass valve.
• Book the service through Coggin Honda Saint Augustine.

The filter is selected for the engine's specification rather than treated as a universal component. After installation, the engine is run and the filter seal is checked for leaks. The filter is replaced alongside the oil as part of the service.

• Engine-matched oil filter
• Drain plug gasket or washer where used
• Post-service filter-seal leak check

A loaded filter does not stop the engine from getting oil; it stops the engine from getting filtered oil. That can allow debris carried by the oil to continue through the lubrication system. The manufacturer's maintenance schedule and the vehicle's service history help determine when replacement is due.

• Debris remains captured only until the filter loads.
• The bypass valve may allow unfiltered oil flow.
• Replacing the filter with the oil addresses both service items.

The correct filter supports proper fit and sealing for this engine's lubrication system. A part number or filter specification is not needed to book the service; the filter is matched to the engine actually fitted. Coggin Honda Saint Augustine can perform the service using the vehicle's engine information.

• Engine displacement: 1.5 liters
• Engine configuration: four cylinders
• Filter selection: matched to this engine

Keeping a loaded filter through another oil change can allow the bypass valve to open and circulate unfiltered oil. The manufacturer's schedule calls for filter replacement every 20,000 miles for this model year. The service history and maintenance schedule determine the appropriate timing.

• Oil and filter service addresses both maintenance items.
• A loaded filter may circulate oil without filtering it.
• Schedule the service based on the published maintenance schedule.
